Hair is the crown you don’t take off, it can literally make or break your day. The connection one has with their hair is so much more than anything I can describe. My mum used to be a hair model for the salon across the street from us growing up in the 80’s. I was constantly fascinated by every colour she came home with, and I think my motivation came from knowing the impact I could make on someone’s life with a hair colour.

I’m often asked why I became a hairdresser. For me, hairdressing is so much more than just that. It’s incredibly important that I find inspiration in my every day, whether the inspiration comes from my peers, art, music, fashion, my clients, drag - okay, you get the picture. So, when someone asks me why I became a hairdresser, my answer is simple. It isn’t about the hair, it’s about the connection, the passion and the love for my clients.
